Lehi's Social Dance Date Nights Return 🕺
Lehi City is excited to announce the return of social dance date nights. These events are open to all ages and skill levels, providing a fun way to learn various dance styles and enjoy a unique date night. Country line and swing dancing will be featured on July 13 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, while salsa dancing will take center stage on August 10. Registration is now open, and spaces are limited.
Fun Fridays for Kids at Outlets at Traverse Mountain 🌬️
The Outlets at Traverse Mountain are hosting Fun Fridays for kids throughout the summer. This Friday, July 12, the theme is "Whimsical Windchimes", featuring a breezy and creative experience. Kids can decorate and craft their own windchimes, choosing from over 20 different shapes and an assortment of colorful materials to make their one-of-a-kind treasure. Join the fun from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM near the fountain.

Lehi Teacher Chelsi Ostergaard Honored at Education Gala 🍎
Chelsi Ostergaard, an educator at Ignite Entrepreneurship Academy in Lehi, was recognized as one of the Teachers of the Year at the Honors in Education Gala. Despite challenging early years marked by family challenges and dyslexia, Ostergaard was inspired by a supportive teacher to pursue a career in education. She aims to be a champion for her students, helping them realize their worth and potential.
Lehi City Photo Contest Submission Extended 📸
The submission deadline for the Lehi City Photo Contest has been extended to July 25th. Voting will take place from July 26th through August 2nd. Participants can enter in three categories: Lehi Life (everyday life in Lehi), Lehi Landscape (nature, scenery, etc.), and Lehi Landmarks (buildings, architecture, etc.).

The Point, Utah's new innovation hub, has launched a nationwide search for its first Executive Director. The appointed leader will oversee the development and operations of the 600-acre site located at the former Utah State Prison in Draper. Owlet Announces CFO Transition 📈

Electricity Rates Remain Unchanged ⚡
Lehi electricity officials announced that there will be no rate increase at this time. During a city council meeting, they addressed concerns about rising costs but confirmed that current rates will remain unchanged. The decision aims to ease financial burdens on residents amid economic uncertainties.
Lehi Library Temporary Closure Announcement 📚
The Lehi Library is now closed and will reopen at a new temporary location on August 5th. During the closure, the outside book drop remains open, and items can be renewed online through the Lehi City Library app. Visit Lehi City Library online for resources
Residents Return Home After Fire Threat 🔥
Lehi residents have returned home after a vegetation fire threatened their neighborhood. The quick response from firefighters ensured no homes were damaged and the fire was contained promptly. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze. Residents are urged to stay vigilant during fire season.

Salt Lake City Eyes 2034 Winter Olympics Bid ❄️
Salt Lake City is bidding for the 2034 Winter Olympics, aiming to bring the games back to Utah. Fraser Bullock, president and CEO of the Salt Lake City-Utah Committee for the Games and co-founder of the Lehi-based Sorenson Capital, will be in Paris on July 24 (Pioneer Day in Utah) when the International Olympics Committee casts the final vote. If successful, it would be Salt Lake City's second time hosting the Winter Olympics, following the 2002 games.
